Join instructor Pamela MacGregor for a hands-on, **2-day workshop** exploring the art of wet felting! Pamela will begin with an informative talk about the different types of wet felting and the materials used in the process, giving participants a better understanding of this versatile fiber art. Participants will learn the basics of creating felted work using wool, prefelt, soap, water, and simple tools. Through hands-on instruction, they will explore how to lay out materials, work the fibers, and use rolling and hand-felting techniques to create their own unique felted artwork. During this workshop, participants will create a finished piece measuring approximately 8 x 10 inches, or experiment with shaping their work into a slightly sculpted piece measuring approximately 8 x 8 inches. There will be opportunities to explore color, texture, and design while learning the fundamentals of the wet-felting process. It’s a type of fabric dye that bonds with natural fibers like cotton, creating bright, vibrant, long-lasting colors. You’ll learn how to mix fiber-reactive dyes, experiment with different colors, and explore patterns and tie-dye techniques to create your own one-of-a-kind pieces. No previous dyeing experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and be ready to get a little colorful! This session is focused on preparing a block for printing. We'll work with linoleum, exploring the image and ways of transferring it to the block, and practice carving techniques – aiming to have a simple block carved in time to print in the afternoon session. We’ll discuss paper options as part of the design process. The afternoon session will be focused on inking and printing; sign up for either session or both. You’re invited to bring a bag lunch and we'll eat together between sessions.

**Cost: $15 per participant Adults and kids welcome** **sign up online by  Nov 11th by 5pm and  pay at the door.** **This 3-hour workshop is especially easy  for children ages 5 and older(ages 5-13 must be accompanied by an adult).**  **We will build miniature houses using extruded clay and your** **child’s imagination. The completed houses can be taken home once they are fired in the** **kiln (they will be ready for pickup around 11/21/26).**

SOLD OUT! Learn the basics of bookbinding in this hands-on workshop! We’ll cover bookbinding terminology, tools, paper choices, folding, measuring, cutting, and stitching. You’ll create a colorful keepsake journal using buttonhole binding, a decorative stitching technique that leaves the colorful thread visible along the spine. No glue is needed for this project! Instructor Julia March Crocetto, MFA, stumbled upon bookbinding by accident and had the good fortune to study with a world-class teacher while in graduate school. She found the materials and techniques familiar and discovered that the book form was an effective container for intangibles and ephemera. Julia looks forward to sharing the craft and helping you create a journal of your own.
